Hi, guys
Check out the Chinese display problem in English OS
I have not found the mistake
But the script of Chinese is not very goodlooking
Hi, are you saying that the characters looks fuzzy on your system? If so, I recommand you to check if you have the Chinese font Simsun installed on you computer. That might explain the problem.
看起來很正常並無異常的感覺,可能是你長期使用英文系統的關係吧
所以才會覺得中文字體很奇怪
应该是WIN98下ENGLISH OS看中文本来就是这样的,

But, cat, the latest Molyx version is supposed to be perfect displaied on English OS.
Otherwise, the UTF thing doesn't make sense at all.
Only my thought

Well, this is not the problem of MX scripts, but the font problem of OS itself. Of course you can use Chinese as your default language while using English OS, however, I don't think you'll have Simsun font in your font folder.
This problem is caused by how CSS work. In CSS definitions, there are several fonts listed to be considered as the default font due to the order they are listed, which means, there is PRIORITY of fonts. Normally, font list would be like this:
Which means: Use Tahoma if possible, otherwise, try Arial, and etc....
Because Tahoma does NOT contain characters of Chinese, then all Chinese characters won't be able to use Tahoma as it's font, then pass to Arial, and then, finally, Simsun.
So, here is the problem: How about if you don't have any font containing Chinese characters in your font folder?
OS will use a font called SysFixed as it's default font for all characters. This font is a little different on different OS. In Chinese OS, it would be Simsun. In English OS, it might be Times New Roman (I'm not sure). So, still, not the best font to display 9pt Chinese characters.
That's why the text on your screen looks fuzzy, because it's not displaying using the best font possible.
Unfortunately, there is absolutely NO solution for this problem. Like I just metioned, this is the problem of OS font, not script itself.
The multi-lingo feature of MX does NOT mean that we recommand you to use Chinese on English OS. Think it this way: Do you think someone will be able to read Chinese when they don't even have Chinese fonts in their machine? Probably not.
NEED work ~
Good luck running your forum!
